DeKalb Clerk of Superior Court To host Free Notary Training March 17, 2023
Partnering with the Georgia Clerk’s Authority

DECATUR, GA – DeKalb County Superior Court Clerk Debra DeBerry and the Georgia Superior Court Clerks’ Cooperative Authority are hosting two free notary training sessions on Friday, March 17, 2023. The first session is 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM and the second session is 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM.

This training workshop is open to the public and highly recommended to anyone who is a notary public in the State of Georgia or would like to become one. It is important to remember that a notary public should perform their duties to the utmost extent of the law, failure to do so could result in costly lawsuits and penalties as a notary is liable for his or her actions.

About the Clerk’s Office:

Debra DeBerry has been the Clerk in DeKalb County, Georgia since March 2011. The Clerk of Superior Court is a constitutional office charged by the Georgia Constitution with the care, custody, and control of DeKalb County’s records. Additionally, in Georgia, the Clerk of Superior Court is responsible for the Board of Equalization legislated to hear appeals on property values and other exemptions. Judicial and Real Estate documents are filed, docketed, recorded, maintained, and archived in an expeditious manner and always available for public access. The Clerk’s Office archives same-day Real Estate recording, turnaround of judicial documents within minutes, and processes are in place to reduce fraud.
