DeKalb Voter Registration and Elections to Host Virtual Press Conference as State Prepares for Advance Voting on Dec. 14
DeKalb CEO, Stonecrest’s mayor urge voters to take advantage of early voting options

DECATUR, Ga.—With early voting launching across Georgia on Dec. 14, DeKalb Voter Registration and Elections (DeKalb VRE) and partners are urging residents to take advantage of various voting options during a virtual press conference on Friday, Dec. 11, at 10:30 a.m.

In keeping with the successful advance voting efforts launched for the General Election, DeKalb VRE is opening 13 locations across DeKalb for nearly three weeks of early voting. Due to impacts related to holidays and availability, some locations, like Agnes Scott College, are on a slightly modified schedule.

During the online press event, municipal and county leaders along with DeKalb VRE’s advance voting locations partners will discuss preparedness, safety precautions due to COVID-19 and other related information.

“We want to remind all voters that in addition to advance voting, they can also cast their ballots by mail or drop box, or vote in-person on Election Day,” said DeKalb VRE Director Erica Hamilton. “We are preparing for strong advance voting numbers and are thankful that our many partners are in place to offer 13 convenient locations across DeKalb County.”
