DeKalb Encourages Voters to Vote Early
Oct. 24 is National Vote Early Day
DECATUR, Ga. – DeKalb County continues to encourage registered voters to make a plan and vote early for the upcoming general election, where record numbers of voters are anticipated.
National Vote Early Day, a new, nonpartisan movement, is planned for Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020, and is intended to help educate voters on their voting options.
“We hope DeKalb County voters will join us in making National Vote Early Day a success,” said Erica Hamilton, director of Voter Registration and Elections for DeKalb County. “Voters do not have to wait until Election Day to cast their ballot. Early voting is still going on and voters can still drop their ballots off at one of DeKalb’s secure drop boxes. I encourage all voters to make a plan to vote.”
Voters should visit www.dekalbvotes.com for up-to-date information on early voting locations, hours of operation, drop box locations, and Election Day polling locations. The county has made changes to some Election Day polling locations and encourages all voters to verify their polling place before heading out on Nov. 3.
“It’s exciting to see so many voters exercise their constitutional right and take advantage of early voting,” Hamilton said. “If you haven’t voted yet, there is still time to cast your vote early before Election Day.”
