DeKalb Watershed Crews Repairing Damaged Fire Hydrant in Rock Springs Community

DECATUR, Ga.—DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management (DWM) crews are currently repairing a 6-inch-diameter water pipe in the Rock Springs community which was damaged when a fire hydrant was hit by a vehicle.

Approximately 30 water customers are affected by the resulting water outage. Crews are working to repair the water pipe as quickly as possible.

Motorists can expect delays in the area as crews redirect traffic around the repair area.

Once water is restored, customers are encouraged to run the faucets inside and outside their homes to clear the internal plumbing of their residence.

Customers continuing to experience issues should contact 770-270-6243.
