ATTENTION: “Local Community Advocates To Organize County-Wide Donation Drop Off Dedicated To Carolyn Collins, Founder Of Carolyn’s Giving Closet”

ATLANTA, GA — On Friday, February 3, 2023, and Saturday, February 4th, 2023, Gabrielle Rogers and Shavonda Miles will host a county-wide donation drive at Tucker High school in DeKalb County, in honor of Carolyn Collins, founder of Carolyn’s closet with her daughter Brianna Collins and Principal Eric Parker.

In 2014, Carolyn Collins found two students knocking on Tucker High School’s cafeteria doors. After learning that these students were homeless and living in a car, Carolyn offered these students food and made a powerful act of kindness. She founded “Carolyn’s Giving Closet,” which accepts food donations such as noodles, cookies, Gatorade, and personal items (sanitary pads, deodorant, socks, and new blankets). In honor of Carolyn’s long track record of service, community advocates Gabrielle Rogers and Shavonda Miles will host a donation drive to continue the philanthropic efforts of “Carolyn’s Giving Closet’.
