As of July 4th, MARTA Route 115, which serves Kensington Station to Stonecrest Mall via Covington Highway, has been restored.
MARTA prioritizes the safety of their employees and customers and in April, made the difficult decision to run only essential bus service. This has allowed them to provide adequate social distancing by running more frequent service on fewer bus routes as they work to increase the number of customers wearing masks. In planning how to restore additional routes, they prioritized restoring routes based on vulnerable populations, essential destinations, ridership and customer feedback, and Route 115 ranked among the highest on those criteria. MARTA will phase in additional routes (including Route 116) based on those criteria as capacity allows.
