Melinda Drive Phase 2 Sewer Rehabilitation Project Begins May 18

DECATUR, Ga.— Efforts to improve the watershed system throughout DeKalb County continue on Thursday, May 18, with the Melinda Drive Sewer Line Rehabilitation Project – Phase 2. Crews will install cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) to rehabilitate 5,000 linear feet of aging sewer lines. The repair project is expected to run from May to August 2023, barring any weather delays.

Normal construction hours will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays. An increase in construction-related noise and traffic during work hours should be expected. Insituform, working on behalf of DeKalb County, is the authorized contractor. All workers will be wearing proper identification and driving marked vehicles.
