  • Notice From DeKalb County Probate Court For Jan 19 & 20, 2021

NOTICE

Due to increased and heightened security concerns for the courthouse complex, recommendations from DeKalb County Sheriff Melody Maddox, and a directive from DeKalb County Chief Superior Court Judge Asha Jackson, the DeKalb County Probate Court will restrict access to its office for in-person hearings, appointments, and meetings on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 and Wednesday, January 20, 2021.  The two hundred plus appointments that were scheduled for those days have been rescheduled.  All Probate Court hearings scheduled for those days will be conducted remotely, which has been the protocol since the issuance of the statewide and local judicial emergency orders by Chief Supreme Court Justice Harold Melton and Chief Superior Court Judge Asha Jackson in March of 2020, which were occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic.  We will continue to keep the health and safety of our staff, the Courthouse partners, and the citizens of DeKalb County at the forefront.  We expect to resume normal operations effective Thursday, January 21, 2021, but please check back to our website (dekalbprobatega.com) for additional notices.  Please note, emergency and permanent guardianships and petitions for Involuntary Commitment can be e-filed at www.odysseyefilega.comThank you.
