Water Service Restored to Apartments after Crews Repair Broken Pipe
DECATUR, Ga.—DeKalb County crews have repaired a broken pipe and restored water service to Twin Keys Apartment Homes on Briarwood Road.
At approximately 6 p.m., DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews completed repairs to a broken water main at 1457 Briarwood Road Northeast.
More than 20 dump truckloads of crush-and-run gravel were brought onsite to fill in and stabilize the damaged road to make it drivable until permanent repairs can be made.
Earlier today, part of the road collapsed under weight of a DeKalb County dump truck. The truck was removed with the aid of a crane.
Bottled water was being provided to the residents and DeKalb County Fire Rescue is on the scene.
